Hit a home run in fire ant control at five minor league baseball games.
This summer, TopChoice Fire Ant Control is sponsoring minor league baseball games in Orlando, Myrtle Beach, Savannah, Tampa and Ft. Myers. Each night will feature a special TopChoice giveaway item for the first 1,000 fans! Captain TopChoice Heats Up Home Shows and Local Festivals
This spring Captain TopChoice will be educating the crowds at local festivals, home and garden shows and festivals throughout the southern states.
Captain TopChoice kicked off his tour at the Blessing of the Fleet and Seafood Festival in Charleston, S.C., where local seafood restaurants had booths and tastings. Additionally, there was an arts and craft section and entertainment for children such as magicians, clowns, singers, and face painting.
Next stop for Captain TopChoice was the Columbia, S.C. WestFest, May 5-6, followed by the New Home & Remodeling Show in Houston, June 3-4, and ending with the USA Hurricane & Home Show in Orlando, Fla., June 24 and in Tampa, June 25.

Rising To the Occasion At the Plano Balloon Festival
This fall, TopChoice Insecticide will soar at the 2006 ViewPoint Bank Plano Balloon Festival on September 22- 24 at Oak Point Park in Plano, Texas. As Texas’ largest hot air balloon event, the festival is a full weekend of activities offering something for everyone.
Activities will include entertainment on the Field Stage, a Saturday Evening Spectacular Fireworks Show, special children’s activities, and of course the incredible hot air balloons. Hot air balloons will fly in 75 magnificent, colorful, shapes and sizes, enchanting an audience of all ages.
The TopChoice team will be on the scene with a booth at the festival and exciting giveaways, local lawn care and pest management professionals, and maybe even an appearance from Captain TopChoice himself!
April’s Atlanta Dogwood Festival Was on Fire
April 7-9, the TopChoice team fired up the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, attended by over 400,000 visitors. The 70th anniversary of the festival was held at 100-acre Piedmont Park in Atlanta.
The TopChoice team hosted a booth near the popular Disc Dog Southern Nationals competition as well as along the main strand of booths. Captain TopChoice was on hand spreading the word about “The Stinging Truth About Fire Ants” quiz, which can be found on www.nofireants.com, and passing out TopChoice balloons, hats and magnets. Local lawn care professionals were on hand offering tips to homeowners on protecting their lawns from fire ants.
The booths were a huge hit, and the crowd turned quickly into a sea of TopChoice red balloons and cowboy hats. “We were thrilled with the outcome at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival,” says Michael Owen, lawn & landscape market specialist, Bayer Environmental Science. “The crowd was enthusiastic and Captain TopChoice was a huge hit!"
